Dr Wen Hwa Lee discusses the way the SGC – an international Open Science Consortium – impacts the world by offering all their research and outputs for free and publicly available, so they can try and help the world by accelerating drug discovery. Dr Lee also discusses the impact of their Open Science work on some ultra-rare diseases, which are mostly underserved by the research communities and pharmaceutical industry. The event was attended by pharmaceutical science students from Ewha Woman’s University based in Seoul, South Korea, and took place in the OCR at Balliol College, University of Oxford.
