Prof Eleanor Stride from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford talks to Dr Sung Hee Kim, Director of Voices from Oxford. They discuss the need for more young people to become interested in careers in science and engineering, and the lure of financial careers in the city which can tempt some of the best and brightest PhD students away from academia or industry. They also talk about their shared passion for dancing, which acts as a way to relax away from the office, and Prof Stride’s academic path to becoming one of Oxford University’s youngest professors.
