Dr Joss Wright, Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford gives a talk in a series of seminars on privacy issues in genomic medicine, funded by the Balliol Interdisciplinary Institute and supported by the Oxford Internet Institute. He discusses how methods which claim to make databases anonymous are in fact fallible, and how by cross referencing many databases together information from one can be gleaned.
