Prof Ole Petersen from Cardiff University delivers a keynote lecture at the International Union of Physiological Sciences held in Birmingham, UK in July 2013. The lecture is titled, “Calcium signal mechanisms in secretory cells: physiology and pathology.” Prof Petersen details the history of this issue, and reveals some of the latest research from his laboratory. He is introduced by Prof David Thwaites from Newcastle University.
